Headspring (noun) (est. 14th century) - the source of water from which a stream arises. A spring that is the source or head of a stream. The beginning of a water source leading the flow of water.
Our name, Head Spring Solutions, LLC, comes from our desire to effectively manage information, processes [business and technical], and projects while considering the source of information. If information is not managed well, it may limit its ability to develop into value adding knowledge. Most analogies made by lean process and agile process practitioners use water flow in comparison. For example, lean manufacturing processes have made references to lowering the water level in a river to expose the rocks. Our managing member, Michael Childs, will often use similar analogies to describe our management philosophies.
When we contemplate data models and its relationship to architecture, we offer a similar analogy - the data we deliver to users should be clean, filtered, and delivered without delay. Determining the size of the vessel that will carry this data is every bit as important as the data itself - No need to buy a barge for a knee high stream.
